In order to gather and compile 1000s of events in Southeast Texas we needed socially savvy community advisors and we found them. Among these individuals is knowledge of ALL the events in SETX that make it a great place to live and be social.

SHELLY VITANZA, Owner
Native Beaumonter Shelly Vitanza, graduate of Kelly High School and Texas A&M University, moved back to Southeast Texas in 2004 after working in Houston as the Executive Editor of a professional pharmacy magazine, the International Journal of Pharmaceutical Compounding. She has since used her journalism degree to write for The Beaumont Enterprise, The Examiner, VIP Magazine, Triangle Magazine, The Houston Chronicle and Getaway Magazine. With business partner Kathy Catalano, Vitanza launched SETXsocialcenter.com, one calendar for all events in Southeast, in 2008 and the EventsBook, a monthly complimentary publication highlighting the events in Southeast Texas, in 2010. She continues the business as the sole owner striving to gather, organize and distribute all the events in Southeast Texas for convenience, planning and fun for the community. SETXsocialcenter.com events are also published weekly in The Examiner Entertainment Guide and highlighted on Fox 4 at 4 p.m. every Monday. Vitanza is a wife and mom, who loves to cook, write, read, exercise and spend time with family and friends.
 RENEE COX, Director of Advertising Lifelong Gulf Coast resident and Beaumont native Renee Cox brings 20 plus years of advertising and marketing experience as our new Director of Sales. Renee’s diverse career is highlighted by work in radio, television and print media in addition to online sales and advertising campaigns. She brings a strong sales background that enables her to meet the needs of even the most discerning clients. Her exceptional sales ability and account management expertise are complimented by her outstanding personal communication skills when presenting to clients and the general public. Due to her diverse suite of skill sets and devotion to excellence on behalf of her customers, we look forward to Renee making an immediate impact for our marketing team.
JEAN BAXTER, Director of Data Entry Jean Baxter is currently Director of Data Entry for SETXsocialcenter.com. Her career spans some 30 plus years in various segments of the health care, oil & gas, administrative/management and training fields. She has held a number of positions in medical offices and hospitals before deciding to change her career direction. She entered into the oil & gas Industry where she held executive and facilities administrator positions, simultaneously . In 2004 she joined the World of Disney and quickly advanced to a core trainer position in customer service/retail sales for 15 Downtown Disney Stores. She moved back to Texas and became a children’s minister before joining SETXsocialcenter.com.
