Playing in the Sandbox, an exhibition of sculptures, installation pieces and drawings by veteran Lamar University faculty member Meredith “Butch” Jack, will be on display Jan. 11 – March 5 in the Dishman Art Museum on the Lamar campus. Jack, a professor in the Department of Art, has been at Lamar since 1977. He has mentored decades of Lamar students in the art of cast-iron sculpture, and has conducted iron pours at Lamar and around the world.
