Julie Rogers “Gift of Life” Program © WE LOVE OUR VOLUNTEERS!
Will celebrate its valued volunteers with an open house at its Dowlen Road office. Included in the festivities will be delicious food from Casa Ole’ and special gifts of appreciation for the volunteers.
In conjunction with the Volunteer Appreciation Open House, the “Gift of Life” will provide 34 free mammograms for medically underserved women on the UTMB mobile mammography van. Bettye Cook, representative of van sponsor Gladys D. Bevil Charitable Trust, will visit the site at 1:30pm.

Each year, hundreds of “Gift of Life” volunteers, including medical professionals and cancer survivors, give their time and talents to help the program accomplish the mission of “Saving Lives.” In 2009, almost 400 active “Gift of Life” volunteers dedicated nearly 5,000 hours of program service.
